Deuteronomy 31:6  “Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord Your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.”

What great hope: God never leaves us or forsakes us.  Even when we feel abandoned, He promises He is with us.  Although Christ felt forsaken on the cross, He relinquished His spirit to God, knowing and trusting His Father was with Him.  The truth that convicts our hearts and brings hope to our souls is that we are never alone.  His Presence with us is our ever-present strength and courage.
