Psalm 16:5-8 “Lord, you alone are my portion and my cup; you make my lot secure. The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; surely I have a delightful inheritance. I will praise the Lord, who counsels me; even at night my heart instructs me. I keep my eyes always on the Lord. With him at my right hand, I will not be shaken.”
What promises abound in this Psalm! God provides our “cup” of joy, defends our “portion” of peace, draws boundary lines for our safety, and counsels us day and night. Nothing can shake us with God by our side. Nothing – not fear, anxiety, stress, inadequacy, weakness, or darkness – can rob us of our inheritance of joy, peace and hope in The Lord. Rest in His promises and provision. May your cup overflow with God’s love and joy!

A First Light 
I find myself taking a picture of the devotional on my IPhone so I can refer back to it for strength. Always thought I was strong in Christ, nut my successful, intelligent youngest son (44) has been diagnosed with Fromtal Temporal Dementia and all I can say is ” Why.” Thanks for this act of love.

I know. It is hard to understand. May we have supernatural trust in our God who is greater than this world, conquered everything on the cross, and loves us more than we can imagine. Thank you for sharing.
