We get to God not by striving, but by giving up.  A relationship with God is less about trying, and more about surrendering.  Out of our deep need for healing… in our cracks created by sin and suffering… God appears in full light.  His light goes right to our soul’s dark places, imperfect spaces, and neediness.  His light blinds us from our past hurts and failures.  His light heals us into newness in Christ.  We just need to surrender to God.  Wave the white flag of the ego that says you’re never going to be good enough.  Come with your weariness, wounds and brokenness and kneel before God.  His radiant light will envelop you and heal you.
