Surely goodness and mercy and unfailing love shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell forever [throughout all my days] in the house and in the presence of the LORD. -Psalm 23:6
Oh Lord, you truly are so good. Your steadfast mercy and unfailing love endure forever. You are my most positive and joyful reality. In your eternal presence is fullness of joy. I will never stop singing of your love. I rejoice in who you are, for you are Love. Thank you for your goodness and mercy that follow me and fill me. In Christ’s Name, Amen.
Let me hear of your unfailing love each morning,
for I am trusting you.
Show me where to walk,
for I give myself to you.
Rescue me from my enemies, Lord;
I run to you to hide me.
Teach me to do your will,
for you are my God.
May your gracious Spirit lead me forward
on a firm footing.
Oh God, you are My God. I trust You as my firm foundation. I trust You as my never ending fountain of kindness. I trust You as my steadfast guide. I trust You as my deliverer from all evil. I trust You as my hiding place. I trust You as my loving Father. Please reassure me each morning of Your unconditional love and trustworthiness. I want to know You as my fullest reality. I know You are found deep within, and all around. You will never leave me. You are my God, and I am yours.
Do not be afraid—I will save you.
I have called you by name—you are mine.
When you pass through deep waters, I will be with you;
your troubles will not overwhelm you.
When you pass through fire, you will not be burned;
the hard trials that come will not hurt you.
Father God, I acknowledge that you rescue me from darkness. You calm the waters of my troubled soul, and You surround me with Your healing light. My salvation, redemption, and rescuing lie in You, the Great I AM. My trials will not overtake me, for You are my refuge and my relief. You have called fully into your light, as You dim the darkness. You are my All in All. Thank you for rescuing me. In Christ’s Name, Amen.
Psalm 119:105 Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.
Lord, I seek to listen to the inner recesses of my soul for your Spirit to speak truth to me through your Living Word. Help me to hear you and to follow. Your Word lights my path. I will not be consumed by other voices, for your truth resounds. Open my ears, enlighten my heart, guide my feet. Oh Lord, live and move in me. In Christ’s Name, Amen.
John 7:37-39 “He who believes in Me, as the Scripture said, ‘From his innermost being will flow rivers of living water.'”
How we praise God for the gift of His Holy Spirit living in us, causing streams of living water to burst forth in dry wastelands. He is our abundant outpouring of life and love. He flows so naturally in our innermost soul. We are alive, overflowing with life, because He lives In is. Thank you, Lord Jesus, for sending your spirit to inhabit our souls and fill us with life everlasting.
But now, O Lord, you are our Father; we are the clay, and you are our potter; we are all the work of your hand.
God is forever our Father, holding us, shaping us, molding us into the children He wants us to be, by His divine, unconditional love. We do not create ourselves. We are clay in the Potter’s hands. God does all the creating, shaping and sculpting. Remain soft and pliable for the Potter to mold you into His beautiful, beloved creation!
You make known to me the path of life;
in your presence there is fullness of joy;
at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.
Because of Christ’s death and resurrection, the veil between us and the Holy of Holies is torn, and we can enter into God’s presence through the power of His Spirit in us. Oh, what joy awaits us when we enter His presence! What lasting peace, what tender love. Pause in prayer, thanking God for His provision in Christ for us to experience abundant joy in His presence.
Create in me a clean heart, O God,
and renew a steadfast spirit within me.
Do not cast me from your presence
or take your Holy Spirit from me.
Restore to me the joy of your salvation
and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me.
Storms are a precursor to cleansing and renewal. When Jesus Christ died on the cross to save us from our sin, the earth shook and the rocks split (Matthew 27:51). In the midst of our storms, and the burden of our sin, may God’s indwelling Spirit remind us of Christ’s sacrifice to cleanse and purify our hearts. He hears His children’s prayers for restoration and healing, and answers with His Son, our Savior, Jesus Christ.
Colossians 1:13 For He has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son He loves
Sometimes our burdens are so overwhelming, we need to ask God to rescue us. God loves to be our Rescuer. Because of Christ, we’ve already been transferred from the dominion of darkness to the Kingdom of Light. Let us live in the light and come to Him for our rescuing.
Isaiah 43:19 Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.
When your old way isn’t working, turn to God. He wants to do beautiful new things in your life….things like new vision, eternal hope, inner peace and real joy. His Presence makes a way for you to experience true freedom. His way is the flower river in the desert, the springtime blossom on the barren branch. He is your God of new beginnings.
