Let His Light In

Matthew 7:7-8 Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.

Ask the Giver of Life. Seek the Lover of your Soul. Knock on the door of your Father God’s heart. Open to receive His heavenly, healing light in. He longs to reveal to you His will for your inner transformation…His good, pleasing and perfect will. Open your inner self to His light and love.

Glorifying Prayer

Luke 6:12

It was at this time that He went off to the mountain to pray, and He spent the whole night in prayer to God.”

As Christ was filled with the power and presence of God’s Spirit His entire life on Earth, His every decision purposefully glorified the Kingdom of God. Jesus chose to spend time in prayer, communing with His heavenly Father and God’s Spirit in Him. He left the distractions and the noise, found a place of quiet contemplation, and spent lengthy time in prayer. And this was for the glory of God. Prayer infused Jesus with God’s power, peace, and purpose. Father, help us choose to spend time in prayer and contemplation to Your Holy Trinity. In Christ’s Name, Amen!

Loving God

Matthew 22:37 Jesus replied “Love the Lord your God with all of your heart and your soul and your mind.”

God’s Spirit testifies in you that Jesus is Lord and to be trusted when He teaches us to love God with our whole selves and our truest innermost selves (our heart, soul, and mind). God’s Spirit helps you love Him with all you are. Surrender to His movement of love in your deepest places, and be filled to pour out love. Loving Him is joy, abundant!

Serenity of God’s Will

Hebrews 13:20-21 Now may the God of peace, who through the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, 21 equip you with everything good for doing his will, and may he work in us what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

The fruitfulness of surrendering our burdens to God is the desire to do His good and perfect will. When we unburden ourselves from sin and the weight of fear, we are free and joyful to want what God wants. Praise be to God for faithfully carrying out his new covenant in Christ to free us from our false selves and equip us to be fully alive and working for His glory in our new, true selves. He releases us from our burdens and equips us with His hope, peace, joy, serenity and service to accomplish His will. Hallelujah!

God’s Light

Psalm 139:12

even the darkness is not dark to you;

the night is bright as the day,

for darkness is as light with you.

God penetrates our darkness with His light. He causes us to see His brightness in our night. He rescues us from the emotions of overwhelming darkness. He ushers us into the illuminating Presence of His Spirit and we find everlastingly peace and joy. Even in the dark chasms of our mother’s womb, He brought forth the light of our lives. He brightens our souls. Hallelujah: He is the light of the world!

Peaceful Mind

Isaiah 26:3 You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.

To really illuminate scripture in your mind and be transformed by God’s Word, pray for His Spirit to guide your reading, hearing, and meditation on His Word. Deep introspection in the Word of God, anointed by His Spirit, has the power to change your thinking and your life. Ask God’s Spirit to guide you as you read and absorb His Word, then to lead you into action as you trust His Word. The fruit of a mind steadfast on God and His Word is peace. Trust His Word and receive a peaceful mind.

God’s Plans of Hope

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭29:11‬

Notice how God does not say: For I know the plans you have for you. He says: For I know the plans I have for you. God has His plans for your life. His plans are full of hope and joy. His Spirit, who is a person and our advocate and helper, is in you who believe, united with your uniquely God-created spirit, to help you fulfill His plans. It starts with reading God’s Word, believing His promises, obeying His commands (mainly to love and serve), and desiring God above all else. And what comes when we find intimacy with our creator God, His redeeming Son, and His guiding Spirit. Truly, a future of hope!
