1 Peter 5:6-7 Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you, casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.

Our peace is found in God’s loving care for us. When we humbly cast our fears on Him, He replaces them with His peace. Peter knew what it was to experience God’s peace and love through God’s forgiveness of Peter’s betrayal of Jesus; God didn’t let Peter be overcome with anxiety, but filled Him with the Holy Spirit to preach the good news of Christ and form the early church. With a compassionate heart, God transforms our anxieties by His peaceful presence. His glory shines in His peace wholly in us.
