Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
—Philippians 4:6-7
Who does God want us to be? Scripture illuminates this question. God wants us to be people filled with His peace. He does not want us to be defined by our anxious thoughts. He does not want worry to consume us. He knows that our identity is rooted in His love, not our anxiety. We are so much more than our worry. We need God’s peace to replace our fears. Simply ask God for your request, giving thanks, and let His peace overcome any anxiety. We do not need to be anxious because of Christ and His power and peace resting on us.
