Romans 11:33-36

Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God!

    How unsearchable his judgments,

    and his paths beyond tracing out!

“Who has known the mind of the Lord?

    Or who has been his counselor?”

“Who has ever given to God,

    that God should repay them?”

For from him and through him and for him are all things.

    To him be the glory forever! Amen.

Deeper than our thoughts are God’s thoughts. Deeper than our emotions are God’s emotions. Deeper than our will is God’s will. Beneath the bottom of our fears, doubts, and despair is the bottomless love of God. Above the height of our hopes, joys and triumphs is the unfathomable wisdom of God. His mercy and truth surround our innermost being and permeate all of creation. His love reaches the depths of us and penetrates further still. When we doubt that God can heal our deepest fears and sorrows, or understand our thoughts and emotions, we trust in His Word that He is deeper and He is healer.
