God is Our Refuge

Psalm 91:3-7 “For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with his pinions, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness is a shield and buckler.

You will not fear the terror of the night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks in darkness, nor the destruction that wastes at noonday. A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you.”

We find refuge in our God.  His shadow covers our frame.  He is our sheltering Father, who protects us from traps, diseases, and destruction.  Evil tries to ensnare us; His faithfulness shields us from arrows of devastation. He delivers us from evil. He rescues us with His love.

“The Lord says, ‘I will rescue those who love me.    I will protect those who trust in my name. When they call on me, I will answer; I will be with them in trouble. I will rescue and honor them. I will reward them with a long life and give them my salvation.’” (Psalm 91:14-16)
