Philippians 2:13   “For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases Him.”

When you grow in union with God, your desires become what God desires.  God is empowering and impassioning you to seek after Him with your whole heart. It’s why Christ, who was completely united with God, prayed: “your kingdom come, your will be done.”  It’s why you ask God to break your heart for what breaks His heart.  In loving relationship with Him, you want to please Him, to proclaim His will be done, to be passionate about His causes, to trust in His Spirit empowering you, and to create your heart to follow after God’s heart. Your heart grows through God’s Spirit in you to desire God and His desires.
