Resting in God expresses our need of God. Desiring Him to be our Guide shows the depth of our need. Allowing Him to defend and protect us marks our neediness. We need Him for our holiness and our salvation. We need Him to unconditionally love and forgive. We need Him to persevere with joy and peace. Oh how we need Him.
