Romans 12:15-16  Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn. Live in harmony with one another…. 

God’s compassion overflows in us so we become empathetic to the needs of others.  We see His people as He sees them, with tender mercy.  We join others as they rejoice; we cry when they mourn.  Empathy begets harmony, a spiritual blending of love, mercy and compassion.  When we care for others like Christ cares for them, we experience His Spirit of love flowing through us, and we enjoy harmony in our relationships.  God gave us hearts to empathize with the joyful and the mourning, just as God rejoices when we are rejoicing and mourns when we suffer.  His compassion is never ending.
