Galatians 5:22-25 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.
God knows, better than we know, what we need to be fulfilled and fruitful for His Kingdom. We long for His Spirit to take over our ego-filled thoughts and selfish desires. We deeply want His blessed desires and passions to become ours. We need spiritual transformation. When we live by His Spirit guiding us, we are filled with love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness and self-control. These fruits of God’s Spirit alive in us are all we need to live purposefully, glorifying God!

Dr. Haney had a great series about this. I thought it was interesting that it is “fruit” (singular and not plural!)
