Matthew 6:33-34 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
Romans 8:11 It stands to reason, doesn’t it, that if the alive-and-present God who raised Jesus from the dead moves into your life, he’ll do the same thing in you that he did in Jesus, bringing you alive to himself? When God lives and breathes in you (and he does, as surely as he did in Jesus), you are delivered from that dead life. With his Spirit living in you, your body will be as alive as Christ’s.
When we seek God, He moves into our life and enlivens us in Him. He revives us from the deadness of our worry-filled, pain-stricken, fearful life. He restores us with His living Spirit, breathing aliveness (as He did in Christ) into our bones. It is all about God. He is the source of the breath of life, the very Life-giver Himself, giving peace where there is worry, comfort where there is pain, truth where there is confusion, and hope where there is despair. His gentle Spirit reminds us to not worry and to not fear. We are alive and present in Him. He takes our everyday lives filled with the deadness of the world, and He resurrects them with the aliveness of His Spirit’s power, so we can experience the holy righteousness of His Kingdom come, and the fruits of His Spirit of love, joy, and peace. Praise God for moving as a breath of fresh air into our dead bones, and enlivening us with His Spirit, giving us abundant life and hope!
