Song of Songs 8:6-7
Set me like a seal on your heart,
like a seal on your arm.
For love is strong as Death,
passion as relentless as Sheol.
The flash of it is a flash of fire,
a flame of Yahweh himself.
Love no flood can quench,
no torrents drown.
The flash of love is the flame of God Himself. Where there is love, there is God. We are His beloved. Our lives are sealed on God’s heart. Not even death separates us from His love. No waters quench His relentlessly burning love. We can go through the downpours and not drown, for His love will last. His passion for us knows no end. We are sealed in His love. See flashes of love all around, and know God’s love lasts in the flames, in the torrents, and even in death. He is our eternal Lover.
