Isaiah prophesied there would be one to “heal the brokenhearted” (verses 61:1,2)
Christ healed the “brokenhearted.” (Luke 4:18,19)
700 years before Christ was born, the prophet Isaiah foretold of the one coming who would heal the wounds of a broken heart. Christ preached and fulfilled this prophecy: healing the hearts of His wounded, rejected and brokenhearted followers. He didn’t necessarily give them what they wanted but gave them the gift of Himself. His presence brought healing. He has the authority, power and compassion to heal what is broken. He is the great Healer of hearts. Thank you, Christ, for coming to heal our hearts and make us whole.
