Believing and Asking in Christ

John 14:12-14 Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes in me will also do the works that I do; and greater works than these will he do, because I am going to the Father. Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask me anything in my name, I will do it.

Believe fully in God.  Ask eagerly in Jesus Christ’s name.  Receive joyfully from the Father, Son and Spirit.  Give Him glory, honor and praise for every gift.  Before Jesus ascended, He reminded His beloved to believe and ask in His name, for this is pleasing and glorifying to God, who loves His Son. When we ask and believe faithfully, God answers and His response glorifies His Son.  Believing prayer is not about what we want, but about what God wants, which our heart knows to ask for in Jesus Christ’s name.  Our very faith is a heart response to God.  We believe in our loving Creator, Redeemer, and Father.  We eagerly await His answers to our heart’s prayers so we can bring Him glory. Praise be to God who in His infinite love answers the cries of our hearts when we believe and ask in His name.
