Romans 8:26 And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. For example, we don’t know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words.
Paradoxically, silent prayer can be most powerful because of God’s Spirit who intervenes and prays for us! When we are weak, confused or uncertain, God’s Spirit communicates with our Father God on our behalf, and in a language deeper than our own. His Spirit groans in prayer for us! It is a mystery how God’s Spirit knows what we need and prays to God with inexpressible groanings. The whole of the Spirit gives of Himself and groans to God. What an intercessor! Perhaps when we are still, we know He is God because of the Holy Spirit wholly praying for us.
