Galatians 2:20 My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
Colossians 2:12 For you were buried with Christ when you were baptized. And with him you were raised to new life because you trusted the mighty power of God, who raised Christ from the dead.
Romans 12:2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will
These powerful verses demonstrate how we live in Christ, who died and rose for us. Our lives are in the process of being transformed by God, our minds are being renewed, our will is conforming to God’s will, and we are shedding the skin of our old selves to become anew in our true selves in Jesus Christ. Who we truly are is defined by our union with God! As our hearts, minds, thoughts and actions align with God’s unconditional love, we are changed and renewed. No longer do we look and sound like the world; the ego-self no longer dominates our thoughts and actions. We are alive in Christ. And, when He controls our hearts, thoughts and destiny, we have peace, joy, hope and love. We trust God to bring our wholeness, healing, and transformation. Our truest identity becomes real in Jesus.
Acts 17:28 In Him, we live and move and have our being.
