Psalm of Deliverance

Psalm 50:14-14 “Sacrifice thank offerings to God,
    fulfill your vows to the Most High,
15 and call on me in the day of trouble;
    I will deliver you, and you will honor me.”

Like a child offering a gift up to his parent,  or seeking comfort when hurt, we open our hearts in prayer to our Heavenly Father by offering thankful praises and asking Him to help us in our time of need.  God’s Presence is our deliverance.  Our childlike faithfulness brings Him joy and honor.  Let us open our hearts to praise God with reckless abandonment and seek Him in our distress, awaiting His full deliverance.

Oh Lord, we long to praise and honor you for all you have done and will do by your Spirit’s power in us, affirming we are your beloved children.  You deliver us from all distress and bring the joy of thanksgivibg to our hearts.  We praise you and adore you.  Amen.

  1. My prayer this morning was to help my beautiful, once brilliant son, as he goes through the valley of Frontal Temporal Dementia. God, none of us wanted this, but we put our Trust and Faith to the same Gpd who led Moses and the Israelites to safety. Thank you, Doctor, for this post. It put an Amen to my prayer this morning.
