Jeremiah 29:10-14 “When 70 years are completed for Babylon, I will come to you and fulfill my gracious promise to bring you back to this place.
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.
You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you,” declares the LORD, “and will bring you back from captivity. I will gather you from all the nations and places where I have banished you,” declares the LORD, “and will bring you back to the place from which I carried you into exile.”
God is offering to His people His promises of hope, prosperity, a listening ear, an abiding presence, and a home with complete freedom from captivity. Though the Israelites were banished, exiled for 70 years, God instructed them to remain faithful and fully committed to Him, never wavering in their trust. He planned a future of hope for them and waited for them to seek His face.
Likewise, God wants us to seek Him with our whole hearts, be devoted to Him in prayer, hope for a future of prosperity with Him as our Lord and Savior, and find inner freedom to live fully through His Spirit. We patiently wait and seek God for release from the world’s captivity. We pour all of our hope and anticipation into the Lord’s promises for redemption and freedom. Remain faithful. He will bring us home to Him.
