Hebrews 12:1-2 “And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”

Our faith is authored and perfected by Jesus.  He initiates and deepens our faithful relationship with Him.  Faith is from Jesus and furthered by Jesus. We persevere to the finish line with fixed eyes on Jesus Christ, as we run wholeheartedly on the path marked out by God. Jesus persevered through the cross with His eyes fixed on the joy of re-uniting with God! Let us pray to keep our eyes focused on the prize of union with God, as we persevere in our faith that Jesus perfects!
