The Spirit of God is our Advocate. The Spirit represents us to God, quells our fears, fills us with peace, assists us in prayer, and places the Word on our hearts. John 14:26 “But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you. 27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” The world does not bring peace, but God’s Spirit does. When you feel helpless, fearful or weak, remember you have an Advocate that represents you to God Himself and enables you to overcome fears. The same power that raised Christ from the dead is living inside of you. Let your hearts be represented before the throne of God, and let God’s peace replace fear, by the almighty power of His Spirit.
