Proverbs 3:5-6 NIV version “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and he will direct your paths.” TLB version: “If you want favor with both God and man, and a reputation for good judgment and common sense, then trust the Lord completely; don’t ever trust yourself. 6 In everything you do, put God first, and he will direct you and crown your efforts with success.”

What a pivotal turning point in our faith when we relinquish control and trust God. He holds us. He fills us. He guides us on new paths for His glory. We are lost without Him. We are not intended to trust ourselves. We are not meant to rely on our own understanding. We are purposed to trust Him with our whole heart, mind and soul — acknowledging Him in everything, putting Him first, above everything, and letting Him direct everything in our lives. God desires every part of us to trust every part of Him. He is fully trustworthy! So trust Him with your decisions, trust Him with your thoughts, trust Him with your emotions, trust Him with your heart, trust Him with your work, trust Him with your relationships, trust Him with your future. See how He straightens and unfolds your path, aligns your will with His, and fills you with His guiding Spirit. He is with you, for you, and directing you.
