How are we guided by God’s spirit? It takes whole-hearted surrender, non-conformity with the world, and our continuous desire for renewal. Focus on God. Look heavenward. Gaze upward at our living God! We literally are learning to take on the mind of Christ each day and choosing to worship God with our thoughts, seek Him in our testing times, and offer our lives to Him to be transformed! Romans 12:1-2 is a powerful verse on guidance: “present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.” If you struggle with discerning God’s will, rather than caving in and conforming to the world’s demands, be willing to let relinquish your thoughts, actions and desires to God, so that He may transform you inside out. Worship all in. Let your gaze be guided upward to your Creator. May He enlighten the eyes of your heart. His spiritual guidance comes with surrender, worship and renewal.
