In Matthew 7, Jesus distinguishes between living life in the world and living life in Christ: 13 “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14 But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.” Jesus is the narrow gate; He is The Way. We can choose the crowded, enticing, and empty way of the world in our life decisions (relational, financial, spiritual, professional), and not be surprised when we are dissatisfied and lacking. Or we can choose the narrow, rare, and most excellent way of Christ: taking on the mind of Christ, being obedient to His Word and transformed by His Spirit, and seeking Christ’s will in our life decisions; we then experience abundance and fullness in this life! When life presents you with the dilemma of choice, and the world clamors loudly to choose the broad way, recall Christ’s words that you will be filled with life if you choose the narrow way. May His Spirit guide you along the path of true life.
This is so true!
