A First Light Dawns

IMG_6556 - Version 2

God speaks, and light dawns.  His breath births light into existence.  In the beginning,  “God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. And God saw that the light was good. And God separated the light from the darkness. God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And there was evening and there was morning, the first day” (Genesis 1:3-5).   In photography, the first light of morning is the most radiant, saturating the landscape with beauty and brilliance. As the first day of the new year dawns, God’s divine light radiates in us.  Ephesians 5:8: “For at one time you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light.”  May His light beautifully illuminate our new year.  Even as we “rise on the wings of the dawn,” His light guides us (Psalm 139:9-10). Shine on, children of light.

  1. But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. (1 Peter 2:9 NIV)

    Amen!!!!
